Tharisa Minerals (Pty) Ltd. got 1 billion rand ($131 million) from HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA), Nedbank Group Ltd. (NED) and Absa Group Ltd. (ASA) for a 4.8 million metric ton chrome and platinum mine and concentrator plant in South Africa.
“All three banks were appointed jointly as the mandated lead arrangers to Tharisa,” Nedbank said today in an e-mailed statement. “All three banks are lenders to Tharisa, with HSBC appointed as facility agent and account bank.” They provided about 333.3 million rand of funding each, it said.
