Goldman, Barclays Have Biggest Share in Commodities Trading

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) and Barclays Capital, part of Barclays Plc (BARC), have the biggest share of over-the-counter trading with commodity investors, according to a Greenwich Associates survey.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) and Barclays Capital provide most of the trading in global metals, Stamford, Connecticut-based Greenwich Associates said in an e-mailed statement today. Goldman had relationships with 63 percent of investors surveyed, followed by 55 percent for Barclays Capital, it said. JPMorgan had relationships with 60 percent of global corporations surveyed in metals, followed by 35 percent at Barclays Capital, it said.
