The 30-stock Micex index was little changed, down less than 0.1 percent to 1,595.78 at the close in Moscow. The dollar-denominated RTS index fell 0.7 percent to 1,723.57.

OAO Lukoil (LKOH) (LKOH RX) retreated 0.3 percent to 1,870.50 rubles. Russia’s second-biggest oil company said fourth-quarter net income slumped 39 percent to $1.35 billion from $2.19 billion a year earlier, missing estimates.
OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel (GMKN) (GMKN RX) slid as much as 1.9 percent, the steepest drop since Feb. 22, and closed down 0.4 percent at 5,754 rubles. The world’s largest producer of palladium declined as the metal for June delivery fell as much as 1.3 percent to $702 per ounce in New York.
OAO Alrosa (ALRS) (ALRS RX) rose 2.4 percent to 32.857 rubles after Alexei Uvarov, head of the Economy Ministry’s property department, said the federal government and the Yakutia region agreed to each sell 7 percent of Russia’s diamond mining monopoly.
