Uganda Central Bank Governor Cleared in Banks Row, Vision Says

Bank of Uganda Governor Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile was cleared by a Cabinet committee over letters sent to banks that enabled a local company to receive 142 billion shillings ($60 million) in compensation from the state, the Kampala-based New Vision reported, without saying where it got the information.
