Polish Stocks: Bank BPH, KGHM Polska Miedz Shares Are Active

Poland’s WIG20 Index (WIG20) fell 0.1 percent to 2,317.11 in Warsaw, snapping three days of gains.

The following were among the most active stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.

Bank BPH SA (BPH) retreated 2.7 percent to 42.51 zloty, declining to the lowest level since Feb. 20, after UBS AG recommended selling the Polish lending unit of General Electric Co. following gains this year. The shares have rallied 34 percent so far this year.

KGHM Polska Miedz SA (KGH) rose 0.6 percent to 147.3 zloty, the highest level since Nov. 17, after Poland’s sole copper producer reported better-than-expected net income and received approval to complete the acquisition of Canada’s Quadra FNX Mining Ltd.
