BP Plans for $1.73 Billion Legal Bill, Financial Times Reports

BP Plc (BP) plans to spend $1.73 billion on legal and administrative costs from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the Financial Times reported, citing provisions in the company’s annual report.

That doesn’t include clean-up or compensation costs, and the company’s accounts put the total cost of the spill at $37.2 billion, the FT said.
