South Korea Household Income Rises for Ninth Straight Quarter

South Korean household income rose for a ninth straight quarter from a year earlier as job market conditions improved.
Average monthly income at households gained 7.3 percent to 3.9 million won ($3,468) in the fourth quarter from a year earlier after a 6.5 percent gain in the previous three months, Statistics Korea said in a report today.
Households’ monthly spending excluding tax and social security-related payments increased 3.1 percent to 2.4 million won last quarter from a year earlier.
