The VN Index (VNINDEX), the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, rose 1.3 percent to 423.89, the highest close since Sept. 30.
An Phu Irradiation Joint-Stock Co. (APC) , which irradiates fruit to be exported to the U.S., dropped 1.2 percent to 16,100 dong. Its fourth-quarter net income fell 14 percent to 8.03 billion dong ($386,000), the company said in a statement.
Dam Sen Water Park Corp. (DSN) , an operator of a theme park in Ho Chi Minh City, climbed 4.9 percent to 32,000 dong, a record close. The company will pay a 2011 dividend of 2,200 dong and 2012 dividend of 600 dong on March 15, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.
Vietnam Joint-Stock Commercial Bank for Industry & Trade (CTG VN), or VietinBank, advanced for a sixth day, gaining 0.8 percent to 25,200 dong, the highest level since Sept. 1. The bank has targeted 2012 pretax profit to rise 11 percent to 9 trillion dong, according to a statement on its website.
