Avod Jumps Most in 10 Weeks After Plan to View Strategic Options

Avod Kurutulmus Gida & Tarim Urunleri Sanayi Ticaret AS (AVOD), a producer of dried vegetables, surged the most in 10 weeks in Istanbul, after hiring an adviser to study options for possible strategic actions and domestic and foreign borrowing.

Avod rose 8.7 percent to 3.11 liras at 11:59 a.m., in the biggest increase since Dec. 13. Avod signed an investment consultancy agreement with broker Endeks Turev Menkul Degerler AS to assess borrowing options and strategic alternatives, including partnerships, mergers and restructuring, it said in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange after the market closed yesterday.
