Kansas State Upsets Missouri, Seton Hall Beats Georgetown in College Games
Kansas State University upset the third-ranked University of Missouri 78-68, and Seton Hall University defeated ninth-ranked Georgetown University 73-55 in men’s college basketball.
Rodney McGruder scored 24 points last night and Thomas Gipson added 13 off the bench for the Wildcats (19-8, 8-7 Big 12 conference) at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri. Michael Dixon led the Tigers (25-3, 12-3 Big 12) with 21 points and Marcus Denmon scored 19.
At the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Jordan Theodore scored a career-high 29 points and Herb Pope added 12 as the Pirates (19-9, 8-8 Big East) shot 61 percent from the floor and hit 62 percent of their 3-point attempts.
Greg Whittington had nine points for the Hoyas (20-6, 10-5 Big East).
