The Bovespa (IBOV) Index fell 0.4 percent to 65,918.77.
ALL America Latina Logistica SA (ALLL3) (ALLL3 BS) gained 2.4 percent to 11.29 reais, headed for a seven-month high. Cosan SA Industria & Comercio (CSAN3) agreed to pay 896.5 million reais ($524.7 million) for a stake in ALL, Latin America’s largest railroad company.
Cosan (CSAN3) (CSAN3 BS), which controls the world’s largest sugar port terminal, fell 5.2 percent to 29.40 reais, the biggest intraday drop in five months.
HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA (HRTP3 BS) gained 8 percent to 613 reais. HRT, an oil explorer, jumped after partner Energulf Resources Inc. (ENG) said it has 3.2 billion barrels of recoverable oil in an area of Namibia.
OGX Petroleo & Gas Participacoes SA (OGXP3) (OGXP3 BS) gained 2.3 percent to 18.05 reais, the highest intraday price in 10 months. Crude oil for April delivery rose as high as $106.47 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the highest since May 5.
