Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) has curtailed about 1 billion cubic feet of natural-gas production in response to low prices, which amounts to 1.5 percent of total output in the lower-48 states.
The curtailments are mostly in the Haynesville and Barnett shale plays, the company said in a statement today.
