Robbie Keane could sign a permanent contract with Aston Villa next season because he’s unhappy at the Los Angeles Galaxy, the Daily Mirror reported.

Keane, 31, is returning to Major League Soccer after a loan stint at Birmingham, England-based Villa.

In Arsene We Trust

Arsenal is backing under-fire coach Arsene Wenger and will free up 55 million pounds ($87 million) to strengthen his squad, the Daily Mail reported.

Wenger’s targets include Mario Goetze, Lukas Podolski, Eden Hazard and Matias Suarez, the Mail said.

Torres Dropped

Chelsea coach Andre Villas-Boas is expected to drop Fernando Torres for a Champions League game at Napoli, replacing him with Didier Drogba or Romelu Lukaku, the Guardian reported.

Torres has scored three times in 34 games after a 50 million-pound move from Liverpool last year, the Guardian said.

Bruce for Wolves

Steve Bruce could become Wolves coach in time for next weekend’s game against Newcastle, his hometown club, the Sun reported.

Bruce is “red hot” favorite to replace Mick McCarthy after impressing chief executive Jez Moxey and owner Steve Morgan, the Sun said.
