Israel Stocks: Israel Petrochemical, Nova Are Active

Israel’s TA-25 index advanced for a second day, gaining 0.3 percent to 1,115.14 at 12:30 p.m. in Tel Aviv.

The following stocks rose or fell today. Symbols are in parentheses.

Israel Petrochemical Enterprises Ltd. (PTCH) headed for the biggest gain since Feb. 1, increasing 4.6 percent to 7.595 shekels. The maker of raw materials for the plastic industry said it’s in talks with the Bereshit fund for a 120 million shekels ($32 million) loan.

Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd. (NVMI) fell for a third day declining 1.3 percent to 31.86 shekels. The maker of monitoring systems for the semiconductor manufacturing industry said fourth-quarter net income dropped to $4.97 million from $7.49 million in the year-earlier period.
