Indonesia Coal Reserves Rise to 28 Billion Tons From 21 Billion
Mineable coal reserves in Indonesia rose to 28 billion tons from 21 billion tons at the last estimate in 2010, Edi Prasodjo, director of coal at the energy ministry, told reporters in Jakarta today.
Resources increased to 161 billion tons from 105 billion tons as more companies reported exploration data, he said. Indonesia is the world’s biggest exporter of coal for power stations.
