HSBC Plans to Lend GBP4 Bln to U.K. Small Exporters, Sky Says

HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA) will tomorrow announce a plan to lend 4 billion pounds ($6 billion) to U.K.- based exporters with a turnover of less than 25 million pounds, Sky News reported, without saying where it got the information.

The announcement of the 4 billion-pound fund, which is called the HSBC International SME Fund, will come just as the bank publishes research suggesting international trade growth will accelerate from 2014, Sky said.

Calls to HSBC’s London offices outside office hours weren’t immediately returned.
