German Child Dies From EHEC Outbreak in Hamburg, DPA Reports

A six year old girl died in Hamburg from enterohemorrhagic E. coli bacteria, known as EHEC, Deutsche Presseagentur reported, citing the city’s health authority.

While the girl’s infection has been known since Feb. 15, authorities haven’t been able to find out where the child may have picked up the bacteria, the newswire said. The girl died over the weekend, DPA reported.
