Essilor to Buy 70 Percent Stake of Turkish Eyeglass Makers

Essilor International SA (EI), the French maker of eyeglass lenses, will buy 70 percent of Yeda Tora Optik Sanayi & Ticaret AS and Ipek Optik Urunleri Sanayi & Ticaret AS, Turkey’s antitrust agency said on its website.

Yeda and Ipek, which make eyeglass lenses, are sister companies, the filing on the Ankara-based agency’s website said.
