Stoke City Defeats Crawley Town 2-0 to Reach F.A. Cup Quarterfinals

Stoke City beat Crawley Town 2-0 today to reach the quarterfinals of English soccer’s F.A. Cup.

Jonathan Walters, with a penalty kick, and Peter Crouch scored for Premier League club Stoke, which played with 10 men for 73 minutes after Rory Delap was red-carded.

Crawley, which plays in the fourth-tier League Two, was the lowest-ranked team to reach this season’s fifth round.

In today’s other matches, Liverpool hosts Brighton, while Tottenham is at Stevenage.
