Zimbabwe Sold $30 Million in Diamonds After Kimberley Approval

Zimbabwe sold diamonds worth $30 million in the past two weeks after receiving approval to sell the gems from the Kimberley Process, said Mines Minister Obert Mpofu.
The Diamond Mining Co (Pvt) Ltd., sold the gems in Kimberley Process-approved sales, he told reporters today at the Marange diamond fields in eastern Zimbabwe. The company is a joint venture between Dubai-based Pure Diam and state-owned Zimbabwe Mining Development Corp.
