Indonesia Stock Movers: Astra Agro Lestari, Bank Bukopin

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Jakarta.

The Jakarta Composite index slid 0.6 percent to 3,927.61.

Palm oil producers: PT Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) , the nation’s biggest listed plantation company by market value, fell 2.2 percent to 22,050 rupiah. PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations (UNSP) , lost 1.7 percent to 295 rupiah.

Palm oil for delivery in April traded little changed at 3,194 ringgit per metric ton at 3:57 p.m. in Kuala Lumpur, paring a loss of as much as 1 percent, and last traded at 3,190 ringgit. The price touched 3,213 ringgit yesterday, the highest level since Jan. 12.

PT Bank Bukopin (BBKP) , an Indonesian lender, gained 3.3 percent to 630 rupiah. The company forecasts profit to rise 20 percent this year and lending to increase by as much as 20 percent, Kontan reported, citing Glen Glenardi, president director at the company. Glenardi couldn’t be reached when called at his office and his mobile phone.
