BP, EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg, Fiat: Europe Equity Preview

Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in European (SXXP) trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index rose 0.1 percent to 264.31. The Stoxx 50 Index gained 0.2 percent to 2,497.11. The Euro Stoxx 50 Index, a benchmark measure for nations using the euro, slipped 0.2 percent to 2,489.35.

BP Plc (BP/) : Lawyers suing the U.K. oil company over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill won’t be able to cross-examine witnesses at trial over a post-incident investigation, a judge said. The shares rose less than 0.1 percent to 487.55 pence.

EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (EBK) (EBK GY): The main shareholder of Germany’s third-largest utility company has started arbitration proceedings at the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce to determine if it paid a market price for the stake it acquired from Electricite de France SA (EDF FP). Baden-Wuerttemberg was unchanged at 34 euros.

Fiat SpA (F) : The carmaker said it priced an offering of 425 million Swiss francs ($462 million) of notes due in 2015. The Turin, Italy-based company will issue 5 percent notes due in September 2015. The shares fell 0.7 percent to 4.54 euros.
