Polish Stocks: ING Bank Slaski, PGNiG, Rafako, TVN Are Active
Poland’s WIG20 Index (WIG20) rose 0.3 percent to 2,335.41 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Warsaw, a second gain this week.
The following are among the most active stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.
ING Bank Slaski SA (BSK) advanced 1.8 percent to 85 zloty after UBS AG raised the price estimate of Poland’s fourth- largest lender to 95 zloty from 90 zloty.
Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGN PW) fell 1.6 percent to 3.68 zloty after the country’s energy regulator said it won’t allow the country’s biggest gas distributor to increase tariff from the beginning of next month.
Rafako SA (RFK) , the power engineering company owned by Poland’s third-largest builder PBG SA (PBG), surged 9.7 percent to 11.2 zloty, the highest level since Oct. 12. The company signed, together with other construction companies, a deal to build a power plant for 9.4 billion zloty ($2.9 billion), the wnp.pl reported today, without citing anyone.
TVN SA (TVN) slumped 8.5 percent to 10.8 zloty, the most in three months, as the country’s biggest television network reported profits that missed analysts’ estimates and withdrew earnings guidance for 2012.
