Peru Stocks: Buenaventura, Panoro, Rio Cristal, Southern Copper
The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 1:26 p.m. Lima time.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell for a seventh session, losing 0.5 percent to 22,321.59. The MSCI (MXPECAPD) All Peru Capped Index slid 1 percent to 2,802.39.
Mining shares dropped after U.S. stocks and metals declined, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru.
Rio Cristal Resources Corp. (RCZ) , a Canadian exploration company, fell 7.1 percent to 13 cents. Southern Copper Corp. (PCU\C) (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest producer of the metal, dropped 3.6 percent to $32.10. Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian exploration company, declined 2.8 percent to $1.05. Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, slid 3.3 percent to $39.77. Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, fell 3.2 percent to 60 cents.
