Peru’s Imports Rose 21 Percent in January, Peru21 Reports

Peru’s imports rose 21 percent last month from a year earlier to $3.37 billion, Peru21 reported citing customs data.

Consumer goods imports rose 36 percent while purchases of materials for the construction industry and machinery climbed 20 percent, the Lima-based newspaper said. Imports of raw materials for manufacturing increased 18 percent, Peru21 said.
