Peru Air Force May Buy 10 Embraer Planes, Brazil Ministry Says

Peru’s Air Force is considering buying 10 Super Tucano turboprop planes made by Embraer (EMBR3) SA, the world’s fourth-biggest aircraft maker, Brazil’s Defense Ministry said.

Both countries will increase their cooperation in aerospace, including a possible upgrade of Peru’s current fleet of Tucano aircraft, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.

Brazil’s Defense MinisterCelso Amorim met his Peruvian counterpart Alberto Otarola Penaranda in Brasilia today to discuss military cooperation.
