Jordan’s Khatib Turns Down Syria Mission Offer, Dustour Says

Jordan’s former Foreign Minister Abdel Ilah al-Khatib said he has turned down a proposal to name him as the Arab League envoy to Syria, Ad-Dustour reported.

Al-Khatib told the Amman-based newspaper that he didn’t want to take the position proposed by Arab League Secretary- General Nabil El-Arabi because the situation is not very clear. He didn’t give further details, it reported.
