Ukraine Sells 50% Stake in Vinnytsyaoblenergo for $21.95 Million

Ukraine’s state property fund sold 50 percent of electricity distributor PAT Vinnytsyaoblenergo (VIEN) for 176.2 million hryvnia ($21.95 million), as part of a drive by the government to raise 10 billion hryvnia from asset sales.

The buyer was TOV Luhanske Energetychne obiednannya, the fund said today in a statement on its website.

On Feb. 6, the fund said Ukraine had raised 2.43 billion hryvnia from state asset sales since the start of the year.
