China Holds Talks With Iran on Nuclear Issue, Mehr Reports

China’s assistant foreign minister Ma Zhaoxu met with an Iranian official in Tehran and discussed the possible resumption of nuclear talks between the Islamic Republic and world powers, the state-run Mehr news agency reported.

Ma spoke yesterday with Ali Bagheri, deputy secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mehr said, without providing details.

The Chinese official arrived in the Iranian capital yesterday.
