Vodafone May Make $1.1 Billion Bid for C&W Worldwide, Times of London Says

Vodafone Group Plc (VOD), the world’s largest mobile-phone company, may bid for Cable & Wireless Worldwide Plc, the Sunday Times of London reported.
Vodafone could offer 700 million pounds ($1.1 billion) for the company, the newspaper reported, without saying where it got the information. Spokesmen for Cable & Wireless Worldwide and Vodafone did not immediately respond to voicemail messages left by Bloomberg News.
