Euro Strengthens as Greek Parliament Begins Voting on Austerity Measures

The euro rose as Greece’s Parliament began a roll-call vote on adopting new austerity measures to secure a second package of aid from the European Union and International Monetary Fund. The currency gained 0.3 percent to $1.3241 as of 7:34 a.m. Tokyo time from last week in New York.
