Mauritius to Close Airport on Tropical Cyclone Warnings

Mauritius’s only airport, Plaisance, will be closed as of 7 p.m today until further notice due to cyclonic weather conditions, Airports of Mauritius Ltd. said in an e-mailed statement today.

The Indian Ocean island nation is under a cyclone warning Class 3, the state-own radio said today. The cyclone has been named Giovanna.
