Greek January Deposit Loss Was 2 Billion Euros, Kathimerini Says

Greek banks lost 2 billion euros ($2.6 billion) in deposits in January from the month before amid uncertainty that the country would reach an agreement on a new financing package, Kathimerini reported, without saying how it got the information.

Household and business deposits held with Greek banks at the end of 2011 were 174.2 billion euros.
