New York Yankees Invite 27 Players to Bring Spring Training Roster to 67

The New York Yankees invited 27 players, including 13 signed to minor-league contracts, to spring training camp.

The 14 pitchers, five infielders, five catchers and three outfielders will join 40 roster players at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida.

Among the minor-league players are infielders Russell Branyan and Bill Hall, pitchers Manny Delcarmen and Hideki Okajima and outfielder Dewayne Wise.

The Yankees start their spring schedule with a game against the University of South Florida on March 2.
