Anadarko Relinquishes Some New Zealand Oil, Natural-Gas Acreage

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) cut its holdings in oil and natural-gas drilling acreage off the coast of New Zealand.

The changes were made based on a timing agreement with the New Zealand government, Brian Cain, a company spokesman, said in an e-mail today. Anadarko had 11 million gross acres offshore New Zealand, according to a slide presentation for a Credit Suisse conference today. That was less than the 16 million gross acres shown in a December presentation slide.
