Mexico Stocks: Penoles Advances; Grupo Televisa Declines

The following companies are having unusual price changes in Mexico trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 11:48 a.m. Mexico City time.

The IPC index fell 0.2 percent to 38,024.06.

Industrias Penoles SAB (PE&OLES* MM), Mexico’s largest silver producer, rose 0.5 percent to 638 pesos. Silver futures for March delivery gained as much as 0.9 percent to $34.06 an ounce in New York.

Grupo Televisa SAB (TLEVICPO MM), the world’s largest Spanish-language broadcaster, fell 0.7 percent to 50.49 pesos. Televisa has fallen three straight sessions since Feb. 1, when the company confirmed Mexico’s antitrust agency rejected its $1.6 billion plan to enter the nation’s mobile-phone market.
