MediaTek Inc. (2454) (2454 TT) lost 2.4 percent to NT$285. January consolidated sales dropped 31 percent from a year earlier to NT$5.16 billion, according to a statement on its website.
Radiant Opto-electronics Corp. (6176) (6176 TT) retreated 4.3 percent to NT$111.50, the biggest decline since Jan. 2. The liquid-crystal display backlight component maker said January sales fell 36 percent from a year ago to NT$197.43 million, according to a statement filed to the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
