Fire Starts at PDVSA’s Cardon Refinery, El Universal Says

Petroleos de Venezuela SA had a “considerable” fire at its Cardon refinery in Falcon state yesterday, El Universal reported, without saying where it obtained the information.

The fire started at 8:30 p.m. local time at the refinery’s CD-4 unit, and PDVSA, as the Caracas-based company is known, is working to control the situation, the Venezuelan daily said.
