ADM Plans to Permanently Close North Dakota Ethanol Plant

Archer Daniels Midland Co. said it will permanently close its ethanol plant in Walhalla, North Dakota, in April to “help optimize” the company’s U.S. corn- processing operations.
ADM (ADM)’s U.S. ethanol production capacity will be about 1.72 billion gallons a year after the the closure, the company said today in an e-mailed statement.
