Defending Champion England, France Win 6 Nations Rugby Openers

Defending champion England beat Scotland 13-6 and France defeated Italy 30-12 on the opening day of rugby’s 6 Nations tournament.
Charlie Hodgson scored the only try as England won at Murrayfield in Edinburgh for the first time since 2004. Owen Farrell kicked two penalties and a conversion to help Stuart Lancaster win his first game as interim coach.
Aurelien Rougerie, Julien Malzieu, Vincent Clerc and Wesley Fofana scored tries as France won its ninth straight game at the Stade de France in Paris. Dimitri Yachvili kicked 10 points for France, while Kristopher Burton booted 9 points for Italy.
Ireland hosts Wales in Dublin in tomorrow’s game.
