Russian January Services PMI Growth Accelerates to 6-Month High

Russian services-industry growth reached a six-month high in January as new business accelerated and unemployment declined, HSBC Holdings Plc said.

The HSBC Russia Services PMI grew to 56.5 from 53.8 in December for a 17th month of gains, the U.K. bank said in a report today, citing data compiled by Markit Economics. A reading above 50 shows growth, below 50 contraction. The measure reached 56.9 in July.
