Obama to Host U.K.’s Cameron for State Dinner to Affirm Ties

President Barack Obama will host U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha, for an official visit and state dinner next month to discuss security and economic issues, the White House said.

The visit will underscore the economic links of the two nations and the “long tradition of standing shoulder-to- shoulder beside each other in defense of our liberties and shared values,” the administration said in a statement.

Obama and Cameron will discuss the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and G-8 summits scheduled for later in the year in Chicago, according to the statement.
