Iberdrola Picked to Build 1.6 Billion-Zloty Polish Power Plant

Spain’s Iberdrola SA (IBE) was picked to build a 400-megawatt heat and power plant for Poland’s Elektrocieplownia Stalowa Wola SA, a unit of Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGN) and Tauron Polska Energia SA (TPE), the subsidiary said on its website today.
In December, Radoslaw Dudzinski, a deputy chief execucitve officer of Gornictwo, said that Iberdrola placed the lowest bid of 1.6 billion zloty ($504 million) to build the facility.
