China Petroleum, Chemical Output to Be 14 Trillion Yuan by 2015

China’s petroleum and chemical industries will grow at an annual rate of 13 percent through 2015 to 14 trillion yuan ($2.2 trillion) in output, the country’s industry ministry said today.

The industry will meet domestic demand, boost production capacity for new chemical materials and increase supplies of agricultural chemicals, according to a statement posted on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s website.
