Saudi Shura Council Asks to Oversee Aramco Income, Riyadh Says

Saudi Arabia’s consultative body, the Shura Council, voted yesterday seek the right to oversee and review the income and activities of Saudi Arabian Oil Co., al- Riyadh newspaper said, citing members of the council.
The council will submit a proposal next week to King Abdullah to oblige the state-owned company known as Saudi Aramco to prepare an annual report that can be submitted to the council for review like other state-owned companies, the newspaper added. Saudi Aramco currently publishes an annual review that doesn’t show its income.
