Everton is close to signing Glasgow Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic for about 6 million pounds ($9.4 million), the Daily Express reported.

Jelavic told Rangers coach Ally McCoist he wants to move to Goodison Park, the Express said.

Chelsea Bid

Chelsea bid 1 million pounds for Nottingham Forest’s Patrick Bamford, who has played 12 minutes as a substitute for his club’s first team, the Daily Mail reported.

The teenager has got nine goals in the last two academy games for Forest, the Mail said.

QPR Deals

Queens Park Rangers are seeking to sign former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse on loan from Lazio, the Daily Mail reported.

QPR are also close to hiring Nancy midfielder Samba Diakite, who is part of Mali’s African Nations Cup squad, according to the Mail.

Sunderland Recruit

Bolton may trade striker Kevin Davies to Sunderland for about 500,000 pounds, the Daily Mirror reported.

The Black Cats need cover as loan signing Nicklas Bendtner is out of action with a broken nose, the Mirror said.
