Chris Bosh had 13 points for the Heat, who had a 52-48 advantage at halftime at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. The Heat (14-5) are atop the Eastern Conference’s five-team Southeast Division, 1/2 game ahead of the Atlanta Hawks.
Reserve Bill Walker had 21 points for the Knicks and Toney Douglas had 16. New York (7-12) is in third place in the Eastern Conference’s five-team Atlantic Division, six games behind the leading Philadelphia 76ers.
The Knicks attempted 43 3-pointers, connecting on 18. The Heat hit 2 of 10 tries from 3-point territory.
New York, which tallied its second straight loss, played without Carmelo Anthony who has ankle, thumb and wrist issues that will keep him on the bench until at least Jan. 31, coach Mike D’Antoni told reporters.
