Billionaire Usmanov’s Metalloinvest 2011 Iron-Ore Output Rose 9%

Metalloinvest, Russia’s largest iron-ore producer, said output rose 9 percent last year to 40.1 million metric tons.
Steel production reached 5.8 million tons, the company, controlled by billionaire Alisher Usmanov, said in a statement today without giving comparative figures. Iron-ore sales to companies not affiliated with Metalloinvest was 3.2 million tons. Fourth-quarter iron-ore output reached 10 million tons.
