Tanzania, Petrobras Sign Accord on Oil Block, Guardian Reports

Tanzania signed production sharing agreements with three companies, including Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PETR4)’s domestic unit, to explore for oil in the offshore Block 8 area, the Dar es Salaam-based Guardian newspaper reported.

Accords were also signed with Heritage Rukwa Ltd., to explore in the Kyela basin, and Mother Industries Ltd. in the Malagarasi basin, the newspaper said, citing Energy Minister William Ngeleja.
