Italian Government Calls for Confidence Vote on Omnibus Decree

Italy’s government asked for a confidence vote on an “omnibus” decree at the Chamber of Deputies, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Piero Giarda told lawmakers in Rome today.
The confidence vote will be held tomorrow about 1 p.m. while a second and final vote on the measures will be on Jan. 31, according to the chamber’s press office. The decree contains multiple extentions on different issues.
